Former Bafana captain set to lose house – report

Aaron Mokoena is reportedly set to lose his house after failing to keep up with bond payments.

According to The Sunday Sun, the former Bafana Bafana skipper was taken to court by the bank, which has applied to sell off his house in Vanderbijlpark to recover some of the money he owes.

The newspaper reported that court papers indicated that Mokoena failed to pay his bond installment of R5 548 since November last year.

“Despite the demand, the respondents failed and/or refuse and/or neglected to pay the sum or any part thereof to the applicant,” the bank said in a statement.

Contacted for comment, Mokoena said he was not aware of the charges against him.

“I don’t know anything about that. In fact, there’s no such,” he said.
