Free tickets for Magic FC fans for Chiefs clash

The Magic FC chairman Miles October says the club will give free tickets to supporters travelling from Cape Town to the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium to watch his side take on Kaizer Chiefs in the Nedbank cup last 16 tie.

October has encouraged fans planning to make the trip to Port Elizabeth to contact the club to get tickets ahead of the game.

“We have lost the home town advantage, but some of our die-hard supporters have been making plans to drive, or take a bus or even fly up for the match so if anybody is making their own arrangements  to go to PE, we will make sure they get access to the game from our side,” October told Phakaaathi.

“Will make sure they get a ticket free of charge to watch the match. People need to make contact with us and will ensure they get tickets to the match.”

October expressed his disappointment at losing the home ground advantage but thanked organisers for trying to secure another venue in Cape Town for the clash.

He said the club was looking to arrange transport for fans to go to PE, but added that they did not have enough fans to fill a 60-seater bus.

“We hired a bus and the prices we quoted will only work if we fill the 60-seater bus and in order to charge R750 we need to sell 60 seats and we haven’t reached that and we are not sure yet if that is a viable solution from our side.”
