Jonevret unhappy with Pirates’ ‘terrible’ display

Orlando Pirates coach Kjell Jonevret has admitted that his team was lucky to earn a point in Wednesday's clash against Baroka FC at the Orlando Stadium.

Issa Sarr scored an equaliser for Pirates in the dying minutes of the game to snatch a 1-1 draw against a gutsy Bakgaga team.

“It’s difficult to be happy for that point, it was a terrible performance,” said Jonevret after the game.

“We have played a few bad halves but first half today, it looked like we were still in bed. I don’t know what happened.

“I just said to the coach, we were definitely lucky to get a point from this, they could have scored more than one goal.

“So I’m very disappointed with the overall performance. But one point, that’s luck,” added Jonevret.

Pirates will next face Chippa United at the same Orlando Stadium on Saturday.
