Katsande ready for Cape Town City

Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Willard Katsande says Amakhosi needs to win the remaining league fixtures ahead of their clash with Cape Town City.

Katsande expects a tough encounter against the Citizens on Tuesday night at the Cape Town Stadium, with kick-off set for 7.30pm.

The first time the two sides met City beat Chiefs 1-0 in the MTN8, while a league match ended in a 1-1 draw.

“We went straight back to the drawing board after the game on Saturday,” he told the club’s website.

“We speak in one voice, and that is winning all the remaining six games of the league.

“We know City very well after playing them twice this season. They are a counter-attacking team, and in that case it means we have to be disciplined to guard against their breaks.”

Chiefs could be without the services of goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune after he fell awkwardly during penalty shootout in the Nedbank Cup against SuperSport United and bruised his hip, he remains doubtful for the match.
