Makhubedu reflects on his outburst against Chiefs
Baroka FC interim coach McDonald Makhubedu says he and Steve Komphela have buried the hatchet.

Makhubedu slammed Komphela and Kaizer Chiefs after his then side Acornbush United narrowly lost 3-2 to Chiefs in last season’s Nedbank Cup.
“If this is the biggest team in the country, the national team (Bafana Bafana) are going to suffer. If this is the biggest team in the country, then don’t blame the national team coaches. If we can go down to 10 men in the opening minutes and still lead the game until the last minutes…
“Chiefs didn’t come to the party. We were one man down, inexperienced at the back. They are still a good team, a technical team, but I repeat it: if this is the biggest team in the country, the national team will suffer a lot,” said Makhubedu at the time.
Makhubedu will come face-to-face against Komphela in the same competition on Saturday. This time, he will be leading Baroka FC.
“We spoke about it (the incident) and I apologised. It was harsh on coach Steve and I think he has forgiven us, a lot of things happened in that game. I think emotional I was wrong and I was arrogant in that game. I was over confident because I knew what I had and what they had. But it was totally different on the day, but Baroka is more experienced team,” said Makhubedu.
