Margeman seeking more game time at Ajax

The Ajax midfielder was one of the key players for Amajita during the recent Under-20 Afcon, and he is now looking to get more game time at the Urban Warriors.

Following his contribution into Amajita’s qualification for the Fifa Under-20 World Cup in Korea Republic, Ajax Cape Town midfielder Grant Margeman says his mission now is to ensure that he gets regular game time and helps Ajax get points in the league.

The 19-year old was one of the stars for Amajita during the Caf Under-20 Africa Cup of Nations held in Zambia, featuring in all the games for Thabo Senong’s team at the competition. His performance earned him a place on the bench for the team of the tournament.

“I am excited for the World Cup, but my focus now is mainly on Ajax, to get some game time and to help the team get some points. The team isn’t doing so great at the moment, so yes, my focus is on the club, to become a better player and to help the team where I can,” Margeman was quoted on the Ajax website.

“When the time comes I will focus on the World Cup.”

Margeman has already scored two goals in his nine appearances for Ajax, who are 12th in the league table with 21 points.
