Chiefs monitoring Zuma situation at Celtic

Dumisani Zuma is yet to sign a new contract with Bloemfontein Celtic, and Kaizer Chiefs are said to ready to pounce on the young forward at the end of the season.

Zuma’s contract with Siwelele is set to expire at the end of June, but the club has a one-year option in it, which is yet to exercise.

the 21-year-old forward has made 18 appearances in competition for Siwelele this season, and according to a source close to him, he is unhappy about the lack of game time.

“That’s the reason why he is stalling to sign a new contract. He wants to play, and if Celtic cannot guarantee him game time, then he will leave Celtic,” said a source close to Zuma.

“Chiefs are one of the teams monitoring his situation. I know that there are other teams interested in him, but at the moment, Chiefs are the team that’s been mentioned constantly.”

Celtic will on host Free State Stars in the Free State derby on Wednesday.
