Ex-Bucs duo face uncertain futures at Stars

Defender Rooi Mahamutsa and midfielder Nhlakanipho Ntuli are among the players who are facing uncertain futures at Free State Stars.

The former Orlando Pirates duo signed short-term contracts with Ea Lla Koto during the January transfer period, but the club is yet to indicate whether or not it’s going to keep them.

Mahamutsa is a regular starter at Stars, while Ntuli has only made two substitute appearances since January.

“Mahamutsa could be offered another one-year contract because the coach likes him and wants to build his defence around him, but Ntuli is likely to be released because of lack of game time,” a source close to Stars told Phakaaathi.

“Other players who are likely to be released by Stars at the end of the season are Lindokuhle Nkambule, Thamsanqa Teyise, Davies Nkausu, Thabang Matuka and Nyiko Tshabangu,” added the source.
