Ex-Pirates captain ‘Tso’ Vilakazi intent on pursuing coaching career
The former Bucs star is currently attending a coaching course in Botswana.

Orlando Pirates legend Benedict “Tso” Vilakazi is determined to earn his coaching badges, with the former Bucs midfielder currently attending a coaching course in Botswana.

Vilakazi, who captained the Buccaneers during his playing days, retired from football back in 2014 having also had a stint at Mamelodi Sundowns as well as overseas.
A source close to the former Bucs player has revealed that Vilakazi was always someone who was keen on pursuing a career in coaching because he wanted to remain in football after his playing days.
“I am one of the people who was surprised when he started with this coaching thing, I don’t want to lie to you. (But) the guy loves football, there is no doubt about that and he is someone who loves seeing young players pushing themselves to the limits despite their backgrounds and making it to the professional ranks. There are lots of guys who always come to him or call for advice because they respect him and know what he has achieved as a footballer,” said the source.
“I thought he would get into administration or something else, but I guess the passion for coaching grew in him and he just had to act on it. I’m not sure how long he is going to stay in Botswana for the coaching course he is busy with, but what I know is that it doesn’t end there. He is dreaming big and wants to see himself having top coaching badges,” added the source.
