Police reportedly looking into how Micho ‘fled’ from arrest last week
The former Orlando Pirates coach was meant to be handed over to police, but instead made a hurried exit to Egypt.

Sunday World has reported that former Orlando Pirates coach Milutin “Micho” Sredojevic deliberately fled from arrest in South Africa amid allegations of sexual abuse against him.
The coach offered as his reason for resigning at the Buccaneers last Friday and leaving the country as being depressed about his sick mother and wanting to see her‚ but he then he turned up in Egypt as the new coach of Zamalek, with a reportedly hugely profitable contract.
Last Sunday it was reported that a hotel cleaner opened a case against him for indecent exposure, which police spokesperson Kay Makhubela confirmed.
The incident allegedly occurred in the toilets at a hotel the day before Women’s Day. Police documents reveal Micho allegedly approached a 51-year-old cleaner at about 6am, asking for sex and attempting to undress, at which point the complainant supposedly screamed and ran away.
The unnamed woman told SowetanLIVE this week that the incident had traumatised her.
“I am trying to forget about this because it’s been giving me a headache. I can’t eat and I can’t sleep … since the 8th [of August] I have been trying to block it out of my mind,” the woman was quoted as saying.
In a statement made to the police, the woman said Sredojevic walked past and greeted her before stepping into the men’s toilets.
“After that I went into the disabled toilets; and when I looked behind me and realised he was looking at me,” reads her police statement.
“I went inside and continued cleaning. While cleaning I heard the door open and when I looked up I saw that it was the same Orlando Pirates coach. He then closed the door.
“He held his track pants and said I must give him for just two minutes. I did not understand and I asked him what he meant and he said again that I must give him for two minutes. He was undressing his track pants … and then I screamed and said ‘no’ and ran out of the toilet.”
Sunday World has reported that Sredojevic allegedly asked his agent, Ivika Stankovic, to “whisk him off to the airport” last Saturday night despite Pirates management reportedly having promised they would hand the manager over.
Stankovic reportedly now faces being charged with defeating the ends of justice. He told the publication that he had not known his client was wanted by police at the time.
