Rangers dismiss Daniel’s Sundowns link

Enugu Rangers general manager Paul Uzor has dismissed reports linking goalkeeper Emmanuel Daniel with a transfer to Mamelodi Sundowns.

This comes after reports emerged in Nigeria that the Nigeria U23 shotstopper is set undergo a medical with the Caf champions this weekend.

“Mamelodi Sundowns have not discussed any transfer with us,” Uzor told allnigeriasoccer.com

Foster Chime, the media officer of the Flying Antelopes, also dismissed the reports, adding that Sundowns have not officially approached the club.

“There is no official correspondence with Sundowns, we have laid down procedures before a transfer can take place.

“A lot of clubs have shown interest in Emmanuel Daniel, one Israeli club came, Maccabi Haifa. For now, he is still our player,” added Chime.

Daniel, however, did not train with the rest of his teammates on Tuesday, adding more fuel to the speculation about his imminent Sundowns move.
