Safa to announce new Bafana coach soon

The South African Football Association (Safa) has revealed that the announcement of new Bafana Bafana coach will be made in the next 24 to 48 hours.

In a statement, Safa said they have finalised an agreement with the successful candidate and are in the process of formalising the legal arrangements.

“Following a thorough, but lengthy process of seeking a replacement Head Coach for the Men’s Senior National Team, Bafana Bafana, the Association is pleased to announce that it has finalised an agreement with the successful candidate and is in the process of formalising the legal arrangements by exchanging signatures today.

“We are mindful that the South African public has been waiting with bated breath for this matter to be concluded and we can report that we will make a formal and more detailed announcement to this effect in the next 24 to 48 hours,” read the Safa statement.

Safa have been searching for the new Bafana coach for a few months now, and as reported earlier, SuperSport United have let the national association speak with Stuart Baxter.

It’s not clear at this stage if Baxter will be the coach that will be announced by Safa or if the association has appointed someone else.
