Semenya set to play soccer in 2020

Olympic gold medallist Caster Semenya has confirmed that she has joined JVW Football Club.


As reported by Phakaaathi on earlier, Semenya started training with the Sasol Women’s League side on Tuesday, now she has confirmed that she is indeed going to play for the club owned by Banyana Banyana captain Janine Van Wyk.

“Happy to announce my signing with JVW Girls football for 2020 season. Looking forward to this journey,” read a tweet from the Olympic champion.

The 28-year-old has been subjected to testosterone tests by the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) who accused her of having an unfair advantage over are other female athletes.
