Tshabalala not joining Cape Town City in the off-season

According to agent Jazzman Mahlakgane, who represents Siphiwe Tshabalala, the Amakhosi skipper will not join Cape Town City next season.

Following Cape Town City owner John Comitis publicly revealing their interest to ‘break the bank’ to bring Tshabalala to Cape Town in the off-season, the Chiefs captain’s agent has dismissed the possibility of him moving to the Citizens from Amakhosi.

“This report about Shabba and Cape Town City is a joke. It won’t happen. Shabba is happy at Chiefs,” Mahlakgane told Isolezwe.

“So there’s no reason for him to leave. I don’t think Chiefs will even entertain City’s bid for Shabba.”

Shabba is known in footballing circles and has played more than 100 games for Chiefs since signing from Free State Stars a decade ago, winning every major domestic trophy, including two Premiership titles.
