VIDEO: Plane turbulence sends 10 to hospital

By Citizen Reporter

When you are asked to strap on your seatbelt during a flight because of imminent turbulence it’s highly advisable you do just that. A video has emerged of a recent flight in which the turbulence got so bad the overhead bins burst open, spilling contents everywhere, and a flight attendant hit the roof of the plane.

An ALK Airlines flight from Kosovo to Switzerland hit turbulence so severe several passengers and crew were injured.

A passenger told Swiss newspaper 20 Minuten that turbulence started about 30 minutes into the flight.

Ambulances met the plane as soon as it landed at EuroAirport, in Switzerland and ten passengers were taken to the local hospital to be treated for their injuries. ALK Airlines representative Lora Koleva told USA Today that, despite the turbulence, the plane landed normally. Koleva also said that the flight attendant in the video was not injured.
