VANDERBIJLPARK. – Four people were injured yesterday, 5 June, including three children, when a light motor vehicle crashed into four pedestrians and into a tree off Marconi Street in Vanderbijlpark.

ER24 personnel arrived on the scene to find the light motor vehicle parked on the side of the road. The four pedestrians were found seated on the pavement.

Medics assessed the patients and found that the 39-year-old man had sustained minor injuries while the three boys, aged between 10 and 13, sustained minor to moderate injuries. The patients were treated for their injuries and were thereafter transported to Johan Heyns Clinic and Mediclinic Emfuleni for further treatment. Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
