Car and truck collide leaving man critically injured

VEREENIGING. – A 34-year-old man was left critically injured Fridayt night, 7 June, when a light motor vehicle and truck collided on Houtkop Road in Duncanville, Vereeniging.

ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at approximately 22:00 to find that the Provincial Fire Service had already freed the trapped driver from the light motor vehicle. Upon assessment, paramedics found that the man had sustained numerous injuries to his head and neck, leaving him in a critical condition. The man was treated for his injuries and provided with advanced life support interventions before he was transported to Sebokeng Provincial Hospital for further care. It is believed that the light motor vehicle had collided with the truck, causing it to roll multiple times.

Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
