A 36-year-old man was left seriously injured this morning when he was knocked off his motorbike by a bakkie on Van Riebeek Road in Vereeniging. ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene after 05h40 to find another service already in attendance. A man was found lying next to his motorbike, just a few metres away from the bakkie. Medics assessed the man and found that he had sustained numerous injuries and was in a serious condition. The man was treated for his injuries and provided with pain-relief medication before he was transported to Sebokeng Provincial Hospital for further care. The driver of the bakkie fortunately escaped injury. Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
