RANDVAAL. – A man, believed to be in his 50s, was killed this morning when his bakkie crashed into a bridge pillar on the R59 in Randvaal.

ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene at 05h20 to find the bakkie smashes against the bridge pillar. Midvaal Fire Services were already on scene extricating the man from the vehicle.

On further assessment, medics found that the man had sustained numerous injuries and showed no signs of life. Nothing could be done for him and he was declared dead. The details surrounding this incident are not yet known but local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
