COVID-19:  Six health facilities closed in parts of the Vaal

Six health facilities in the Vaal have been closed for operation as a result of the positive cases of Covid-19.

Evaton Main Clinic, Zone 14 Clinic, Johan Deo Clinic, Boipatong CHC, Market Avenue Clinic and Johan Heyns CHC have been temporarily closed due to COVID-19 positive cases.

In a statement on Thursday the Sedibeng District Health Services said the facilities will be temporarily closed for fogging and decontamination.

Sedibeng District Health Services, acting communicatons officer Dimakatso Ndhleleni urged patients that require medical attention are urged to use alternative clinics.

According to the statement going forward these facilities will be rendering reduced services due to shortage of staff.

The facilities will be operation as of 17 July.
