Two incidents leaves one dead, three injured

VEREENIGING.- A woman was killed, and three others left injured following two collisions on the R59 Boy Louw in Vereeniging.

At 16h38 on Saturday ER24 paramedics arrived on the scene to find a light motor vehicle upright on the side of the road.

The body of a woman was found lying next to the car.
Medics assessed the woman and found that she had sustained numerous injuries and showed no signs of life.Nothing could be done for her, and she was declared dead.

After a short time, a second collision occurred a few metres away from the initial scene. A bakkie and a light motor vehicle had collided leaving two men and a child with minor injuries.

The patients were treated and thereafter transported to a nearby hospital for further care.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
