According to Emfuleni Local Municipality (ELM) a contractor is on site and a new roof and ceiling have been installed in the facility. The roof of the gym was damaged by heavy storms last December, leaving many fitness enthusiasts who utilize the facility frustrated.

The municipality’s efforts to restore the facility were delayed by insurance processes, which required comprehensive reports and extensive investigations before repairs were undertaken.

The municipality apologizes for the inconvenience suffered by residents who rely on the gym for their fitness programs, particularly on the days when the facility was exposed to flooding during recent rainfall.
