Residents have been complaining for many months about the state of the road.

Councillor Salome Janse van Rensburg, Midvaal Local Municipality’s councillor for Risiville, writes: “So many potholes and so many accidents and also people lost their lives on this road. Thank you to Provincial Government for finally hearing our plea to fix this death trap.”
