Residents complain about cow head dumper
Residents of Leeuhof have voiced their utter disgust about resident who regularly dumps cow heads in the open veld outside Leeuhof.
VEREENIGING. – According to Sandra Seedat, a resident, the man, who is said to cook the meat and then sell it in the CBD, has been dumping large amounts of cow heads in die veld close to where other residents are staying.
According to Seedat this happens daily.
The rotting cow heads causes a stink, attracts flies, rats and have made pets in the vicinity sick.
According to Chadwin Louw, a resident, cow ears and other body have recently been ending up in the yards of residents in the mornings.
He finds it disgusting.
According to Louw the man is also dumping near Selborne Primary School where school children regularly pass and is creating a health hazard.
Seedat says she has confronted the man, after which he told them he would stop the dumping.
According to residents he has continued to dump cow heads in the veld.
The man was not home when Vaalweekblad visited his residence.
The Emfuleni Local Municipality has been notified of the man’s address and the location of the dumped cow heads.
A health inspector will visit the site.
