VANDERBIJLPARK. – The Border Boys parade is a growing movement in the MOTH Order to Honour a generation of Servicemen and women who participated in the various activities along our country’s borders and in the internal counter-insurgency operations in South West Africa, as it was then known, and also in South Africa. The period stretches from the late 1960’s to 1994. The Border Boys parade came together on Sunday, May 30 at the Sylviavale Heritage & Preservation Museum to remember and reflect on those who paid the ultimate sacrifice, and on their fellow Comrades who served during these times. They observe the three fundamental elements of their Order; sound Memory, true comradeship and mutual help.
