This is after ashes of the deceased were brought to the Vereeniging Police after they were found by PRASA security personnel in a mainline train that was travelling from Johannesburg to East London.

The Vereeniging Police Spokesperson, Captain Fikile Funda said: “The family of the deceased or anyone who might know the deceased is asked to contact the Vereeniging Police on (016) 450 2004 and ask to speak to Warrant Officer Deon Pringle. “Alternatively, they can call Crime Stop on 0800 10111 or use the MYSAPS App on their smartphones.”
