Residents feel the impact of rioting and looting

SEBOKENG. The after effects of looting are already been felt.

Queuers from as far afield as Orange Farms, Small Farms and Evaton made endless lines at the Total Filling Station near Thabong Shopping Center in Sebokeng on 17 and 18 July.

One old hawker, Johannes Sekhonyane (71), from Orange Farms travelled all the way to a petrol station near Thabong mall opposite Sebokeng hostel  and said that the trip probably cost him far more than it subsequently cost him to buy paraffin near his home.

He is clearly not the only sufferer and the current demand for all forms of fuel is extremely demanding.

The long queues forming outside petrol station are mainly for paraffin as mid-winter is descending.

This is the serious result of the recent crisis created by random looting and vandalism throughout Kwa- Zulu Natal and part of Gauteng province.
