RANDVAAL. – According to ER24 spokesperson, Ineke van Huyssteen, paramedics arrived at the scene shortly after 19h00.

“They found that most of the patients were outside of the minibus.

“Nine people had sustained minor injuries while one person had sustained serious injuries.

“Unfortunately, the driver of the light motor vehicle had sustained fatal injuries and was declared dead at the scene by paramedics,” said Van Huyssteen in a statement.

ER24, as well as various other medical services, treated the patients at the scene before transporting them to hospital for further medical care.
