Midvaal Mayor is all about getting things done

Community members were very pleased when the Mayor and workers of the Midvaal Local Municipality visited the corner of Kroonarend Road and Witkruisarend Street in Daleside as part of the Service Delivery Thursdays Campaign

DALESIDE.- . Midvaal Local Municipality (MLM) Mayor Peter Teixeira said it is important that people of Midvaal see the proof of a clean audit whenever they look around their environment. “Service Delivery Thursdays are working. Wherever we have been, we have left a mark there and the community is happy.

“I would like us to show this community that Midvaal was here. The communities we serve must start experiencing the clean audit that we are given by the Auditor General every financial year. There is no use getting a clean audit if the people on the ground cannot see it, feel it or even touch it.”

Teixeira says the plan is to make sure that people get basic service delivery. Last week’s Mayoral Service Thursday started off with the fixing of potholes, grass cutting, tree trimming and inspection of adherence to health protocols by shop owners.

Teixeira further thanked MLM employees who were behind all the success that has been garnered by the initiative. “I would like to thank all of you for your hard work. I really appreciate everything you do for this institution from the bottom of my heart.”
