VANDERBIJLPARK. – The Vaal Highland Gathering is one of the largest events in the Vaal area. It will be held on the premises of the Emerald Resort & Casino again on 23 April. The bag pipe bands and Scottish dancers will perform from 09:00, with the Mass Bands doing their thing between 16:00 and 17:00.

The Helicopters, Sean Miles, Connie and Liz will entertain young and old on the big stage in the evening. There will be numerous food and refreshment stalls from a taste of Scotland (black pudding and haggis) to bacon rolls, boerewors rolls, jaffels and prego rolls.

There will also be arts and crafts stalls, a beer garden, wine and whisky tasting and loads of entertainment for the children.

Ticket prices vary from R60 (adults), R30 (pensioners), R30 (children older than 7) and free entrance for kids under 6.
