Life is looking better for dogs saved from house of horrors

VANDERBIJLPARK. - The local SPCA is overjoyed to report that thanks to the kindness and donations from residents, the rescues are doing much better.

“The owner of the dogs demanded we return his dogs and accused our inspectors of trespassing. We even received a lawyers letter from the owner. Needless to say we will not be returning the dogs to him,” says Marlien de Klerk (manager of the local SPCAs).

The dogs are now getting the love and care and good food they should have been getting at the home they were rescued from.

They all have been bathed and groomed by Rose Acre Mobile Grooming . Virbac also came to the party and donated dewormer and other medication for the dogs.

“Thank you for saving me”.

Hills also kindly donated food to help with weight gain and feeding of the dogs.

“The majority of the veterinarians in our area also donated medication towards the healing of the dogs,” says Marlien.

Criminal charges of animal cruelty has been laid against the owner. “We will ensure that justice is served for these dogs and the suffering they had to endure,”  says Marlien. She also thanked the caring supporters that made this rescue possible.
