THE BARRAGE.- A Malawian man has been arrested after being found with a 22 rifle and 71 live ammunition and two R1 rifle magazines at a  plot in Nanescol, The Barrage over the weekend.

Police Spokesperson, Sergeant Nombulelo Mohlakoana said that while executing operation ‘O KAE MOLAO’, the The Barrage Vispol and intelligence members received a tip-off that there was a point .22 Rifle hidden in a plot at Nanascol, The Barrage.

“On arrival Police searched the house and recovered a point .22 Rifle, 71 live ammunition’s and two R1 Rifle magazines. A Malawian suspect detained. The suspect will appear at Vanderbijlpark court for possession of unlicensed firearm and undocumented immigrant.”
