On the evening of May 25 on the RR23 Warrant Officer, Juan Nel, and Sgt. Nadia Terblanche was at the Vaalplaza on the N1 waiting to escort a bus to the Grasmere tollgate. While members were waiting they did a stop and search operation and stopped a truck. While searching the truck the officers found, cocaine, Cat, and compressed dagga in the vehicle. The driver was arrested and detained at Parys SAPS. Police confiscated five 1kg bags of cocaine, four bricks of compressed dagga en 500 grams of Cat all to the value of R1 500 000. The suspect will appear in the Parys magistrates court for possession of drugs.
