Medals for Sedibeng kickboxers at SA’s
It was action galore at the South African National Kickboxing Championship, which was recently hosted at the Diaz Hotel in Mossel Bay.
Approximately 400 athletes participated, including 19 fighters from three different clubs in the Vaal who represented the Sedibeng Team. The 19 fighters brought back 12 gold medals, 9 silver and 7 bronze in various divisions.
Competitors who qualified at this championship will attend the African Championships and thereafter the World Championships.
The kickboxers who represented Sedibeng are:
Rachael Wormald, Weynand Beylefeld, Nathan Engelbrecht, Rayner Vogel, Anika Storm, Hanco Botha, Vian Singelton, DJ Jacobs, Winuska van Straaten, Charny Murphy, Kingsley Mahlangu, Lezane van Schalkwyk, Willem van Straaten, Cindy van Wyk, Brandin Fourie, Julius Ntsasa, Madelein J v Rensburg, Douglas MacFarlane and Austin Coetzee.
The coaches are:
Shihan Stefan Brown, Shihan Brandin Fourie and Sensei David Kies.
