Sasol het die volgende media verklaring uitgereik:

The 50^th Sasol National Winter Swimming Championship that was scheduled to take place at the Penny Heyns Swimming Pool in Sasolburg from 27 June until 2 July 2022, has been postponed due to the current intense load shedding measures in Sasolburg.

The water temperature of the pool can subsequently not be increased to the 25^oC needed to meet swimming competition condition requirements.  The new dates for the resumption of the competition will be announced in the near future.
