Midvaal Local Municipality (MLM) Executive Mayor, Ald. Peter Teixeira, is excited to announce the appointment of our new Municipal Manager: Mr Anton Groenewald. Anton joins the proudly Midvaal team from the 1st July 2022.

“It is a welcome addition to our team to sustain MLM’s vision to maintain service excellence to the residents of MLM,” Ald. Teixeira said in a press release.

Anton is a well-seasoned official, with the necessary experience and drive to fulfil the mandate of promoting governance. He has exciting and innovative ideas for the development and sustainability of the municipality whilst under his tenure.

Anton brings vast municipal experience, serving as the former Municipal Manager at Swellendam Local Municipality in the Western Cape Province.

He is dedicated to maintaining and enhancing our service delivery outputs, financial sustainability and ensuring that MLM remains one of the best local government institutions and best performing municipalities (if not the best municipality) in the country.
