VANDERBIJLPARK. – For more than 30 years Spar Riverview has been a proud landmark in SE3 – your one-stop shop to buy your daily bread, weekly veggies and monthly meat, as well as all other must-have groceries in between. After weeks of intensive revamping, Spar Riverview will officially be celebrating its brand-new look from Thursday, September 22, right through to Saturday, September 24, and everyone is invited to share in the fun and special offers!

Spar Riverview, situated in Beefwood Street, Vanderbijlpark, was purchased in May 2008 by two shareholders, Eghard Hattingh and Kobus Schroeder. Eghard mainly handles the financial part of the business while Kobus, assisted by Laura Hattingh, is actively involved with the day-to-day management. Along with the senior team, Danie van Rooyen, Tobie Kruger, Amanda Kleynhans and Hannie Pienaar, they strive to give their customers the highest quality produce, the freshest meats and granny-approved baked goods every day, all at competitive prices.

Through the years Spar Riverview has become part of the community – and now there are even more reasons to pop in and linger longer! Apart from the new, modern lay-out, the wider aisles and spacious, futuristic look and lighting, there are other additions such as the convenient new Spar concept, “The Food Stall” as well as “Bean Tree”, a brand-new section where a delightful cup of coffee can be enjoyed. The shareholders wish to thank their loyal staff and customers for their support through the years and especially for standing with them through the difficult pandemic and lockdown. “We couldn’t have done it without them,” is the shareholders’ message.

* Spar Riverview’s team is looking forward to seeing their clients, old and new, during the official opening of the revamped store. The celebration week starts on Thursday September 22 and builds up to the big fun-day on Saturday, 24 September, when there will be lots of special offers, give-aways and fun activities like jumping castles and face-painting for the kids.
