Star Nissan unveils all-new Nissan Qashqai in the Vaal
The third-generation Nissa Qashqui with its fresh, modern and sporty style, has retained the model’s identity and is regarded by many as the rebirth of an icon.

Vaal Triangle vehicle lovers shared in the festivities earlier this month when the multi-award winning Star Motor Group lifted the veil off the all-new third generation Nissan Qashqai in Vaal Mall.
And what an introduction it was! As with all its launches, Star Nissan again stunned the crowd with a fascinating show on an African theme: Traditional dancers displayed their perfectly rehearsed steps to the invigorating beat of the drums before the veil was lifted in a splendid burst of light and confetti.
The dancers almost stole the show with their charm and form but in the end it was the Nissan Qashqai that captivated the crowd.
Hailed as one of the pioneers of the crossover segment, the Nissan Qashqai has always been an industry benchmark. The third-generation’s introduction, with its fresh, modern and sporty style, has retained the model’s identity and is regarded by many as the rebirth of an icon. More muscular and sharper in exterior design, the all-new Nissan Qashqai features a bigger V-Motion front grille, as well as slim LED matrix headlamps with new ‘boomerang’ daylight running lights that enhance its imposing stance and presence.
The new Nissan Qashqai combines a sporty design with all-round premium packaging that does not compromise on performance, style and function. It offers new benchmarks in comfort, safety and driving dynamics, coupled with the latest Nissan Intelligent Mobility (NIM) technology.
Safety is at the heart of the third generation Nissan Qashqai. It is equipped with advanced safety technologies designed to scan the road, keeping all passengers safe and providing peace of mind.
One of the safety functions is an onboard Predictive Front Collision Warning, which keeps an eye on up to two vehicles ahead. When the system detects a sudden deceleration ahead, it gives the driver an audible and visual warning to slow down. The Driver Attention Alert (DAA) system can even detect potential driver fatigue and suggest to the driver to consider taking a break!
Thanks to the NissanConnect suite of features a more connected service – with the latest in audio technology, connectivity, and mobile integration – is at the driver’s disposal. Elegance adds to the allure of the all-new Nissan Qashqai, fitted with premium quilted Napa leather seats for a relaxing and comfortable seating experience.
Star Motor Group’s Director, Edwin Strauss, thanked Nissan South Africa for delivering a bolder, technologically more advanced vehicle. He also thanked MagiCO SA for producing a world class launch for the new Nissan Qashqai.
“Most importantly, thank you to every member of the public who joined Star Nissan for the launch. We are super exited about the new Nissan Qashqai and can’t wait to demonstrate this iconic vehicle’s attributes in person to all car enthusiasts.”
