Midvaal Municipality intensifies campaign to keep Midvaal clean
The Midvaal Local Municipality has intensified its Keep Midvaal Clean campaign, starting in Sicelo Ward 10.
MIDVAAL. – The Midvaal Local Municipality says in a statement that over 145 Community Work Programme (CWP) workers recently swept the streets in Sicelo, cleaning out weeds, clearing illegal dumpsites and beautifying the area.
The Keep Midvaal Clean campaign consists of CWP workers from Midvaal Local Municipality.
On Tuesday, 21 February 2023, the clean-up campaign moved to Ward 8 with a team of 140 workers.
On Wednesday, 22 February, another CWP team will be in Savanna City, Ward 11 to continue with the campaign.
According to the MMC for development and planning, MMC Mokete Motsamai, the campaign will expand to different parts of the municipality
including the peripheral and outlying areas.
This will be done to ensure that our residents live in a dignified, safe, and clean area.
“We call upon Midvaal residents to do their part and refrain from dumping illegally and join hands as we continue to Keep Midvaal Clean,” Motsamai said.
