SEDIBENG. – According to Constable Tlaleng Moloi, a communications officer for the police in the Sedibeng district, the tactical intelligence driven operation was conducted on Wednesday (26 April 2023) at Drieziek in Orange Farm.

Three suspects were arrested after two firearms and ammunition were found in their possession.

This comes after police received information that these weapons were allegedly used in a business robbery in Evaton.

The acting district commissioner, Brigadier Nkhwashu, commended all the members who were involved in the operation.

He urged members of the police to be relentless in ridding this district of illegal firearms

The suspects will soon appear in local magistrate’s court on charges of business robbery and possession of illegal firearms and ammunition.
