2023 Harry Oppenheimer Trophy at Maccauvlei Golf Club
Maccauvlei Golf Club was especially honored with the presence of Mr Nicky Oppenheimer, to present the prizes to the winners in person.
The annual prestigious internationally recognized amateur golf tournament of the season, The Harry Oppenheimer Trophy, was contested from 12 to 14 June at Maccauvlei Golf Club in the Vaal Triangle.
The course was in superb condition with manicured fairways and very fast greens and 95 of the best amateurs in the country and 7 international players experienced cold and windy conditions on the first two days of the tournament. This did not prevent the champion, Kieron van Wyk, who is currently ranked No 75 amateur in the world, to record excellent scores (66, 71, 67) over the 54 holes.
