The staff and management of Four Way Kwik Spar and Tops! in Three Rivers, Vereeniging, can be forgiven if their smiles are even bigger than usual. They secured the most prestigious awards for the year in a competition that involved Spar stores in all major cities in the South Rand.

November 14 marked a triumph for the team as Four Way Kwik Spar was announced KWIK SPAR of the Year 2023. What makes this accomplishment even more remarkable is that Four Way Kwik Spar has proudly claimed this coveted award an impressive eight times. Furthermore, it is the only Spar in South Africa to have ever achieved the distinction of winning both awards (best store as well as best Tops @ Spar liquor store) in a single year.

Praises and congratulations for this proudly Three Rivers establishment are still pouring in on social media.

* The Four Way premises were bought by Harry’s father, the late Mr Steve (Stamo) Katrakilis in 1970. Steve, supported by his beloved wife Alexandra, nurtured a dream of developing this into a prime business spot. The centre opened its doors on April 13, 1972 as a car dealership, a filling station and café, named Four Way Superette. That was the beginning of the Four Way Group, which became one of the most successful enterprises in Vereeniging and 51 years later the 4 Way Group is adored by the local community. The 4 Way Group still strives every day to make a difference in the community.
