National Shutdown: Be careful out there!

In the Vaal several areas might be affected by the shutdown. This is what have been reported so far.

The forum resolved to start barricading the roads in the early hours of 06 December.

Roads and entrances that were outlined include, President Hyper, Tau Bazaar, Vereeniging Fresh produce market, Sharpeville Bridge, Golden Highway, the N1 and the R59.

The shutdown will also include the Boitshepiville community members marching from Sharpeville Community Hall at 07:00 to Vanderbijlpark Central Business District (CBD) where foreigner-owned shops will be closed.

Earlier this morning the R59 was still open, but the Golden Highway has been barricaded with rocks and burning tyres at the Bophelong entrance crossing.
