Bad weather disrupts Q-school at Heron Banks
Sunshine Tour holding thumbs that weather will clear
VAALPARK – Although the ground staff at Heron Banks Golf Course did an amazing job preparing for the Sunshine Tour’s Q-school event, which is currently underway, inclement weather has been unpredictable.
The event started yesterday, and the final round will be played on Friday or Saturday, depending on the weather.
Around 219 golfers are currently playing at the Soweto Country Club and Heron Banks Golf Club. The top 32 players across the two tournaments will earn a Sunshine Tour Card for the 2025/2026 season.
Mist delayed tee-off yesterday, and play was suspended due to dangerous weather conditions and a waterlogged course.
