Elephant seal surprise in residential area

GORDON’S BAY – SPCA inspectors were quickly to the rescue after a rather unexpected visitor (an elephant seal) found its way into a residential area in Sir Lowry’s Pass Road.
They are working on a safe and stress-free plan to relocate this magnificent marine mammal.
Residents were asked to avoid the area to help calm the ‘visitor’ while the SPCA conducted the rescue.
