Angel has been at Vaalpets her whole life
Angel is a medium-sized dog with an inquisitive nature and she adores attention. She thrives on human connection and needs a loving home.
VANDERBIJLPARK – She has the graceful lines of a greyhound and a gentle soul. It is unbelievable that this black beauty recently celebrated her ninth birthday at Vaalpets Animal Shelter.
Although Angel is safe and cared for at the shelter, it is sad that she has spent her entire life, since puppyhood, in a shelter.
To make things worse, it was thought that she did not get along with other dogs and consequently spent most of her days alone in a camp.
Gordon van Heerden, a volunteer at the Vaalpets Animal Shelter, has been working with her and exposing her to other dogs for the past seven months. It soon became clear that Angel has a soft temperament and gets along with other dogs.

“True to her name, Angel possesses the softest temperament. Walking her is an absolute dream, never tugging on the leash; you can literally guide her with just one finger,” says Gordon.
“Despite her long wait, her spirit is unbroken, and her eyes shimmer with incredible hope”.
To top it off, Angel has the softest fur and cute habits, like burying her treats to entertain herself when she needs some fun time.
“She would truly blossom in a home where she has a larger male canine companion to share her days with,” says Gordon.
Angel’s adoption fee has been waived because everyone working and helping at Vaalpets wants to see her finally experience the warmth and comfort of a loving home.
Home checks still apply to ensure she finds the perfect match.
