VAAL - This emerged during a media briefing led by Gauteng Premier Panyaza Lesufi and Basic Education Minister Siviwe Gwarube in Sebokeng.

The Gauteng government says it will help the families of the victims of the tragic Vanderbijlpark scholar transport accident with funeral arrangements.

12 Learners lost their lives when a taxi they were travelling in along the Golden Highway collided with a truck on Monday. Three children are still in the hospital.

The taxi driver has been arrested and will be charged with 12 counts of culpable homicide and reckless and negligent driving.
