Fuel prices drop from midnight

Fuel prices are dropping from midnight on 4 February 2026, with petrol, diesel, and paraffin becoming cheaper.

South African drivers can expect cheaper fuel from midnight tonight, with official adjustments taking effect on 4 February 2026.

Both 93 and 95 petrol will fall by 65 cents per litre, while diesel will drop between 50 and 57 cents per litre at wholesale level.

Illuminating paraffin will also become more affordable, though LPG will see a slight increase of about 31 cents per kilogram.

The changes come as a result of a stronger Rand, shifts in international crude and product prices, and other market factors.

Drivers are advised not to rush to fill up, as waiting a few hours could save money.

Key February 2026 price changes (inland):

  • 93 Petrol: R19.99 (down from R20.64)
  • 95 Petrol: R20.10 (down from R20.75)
  • Diesel 0.05 % (wholesale): R17.91
  • Diesel 0.005 % (wholesale): R17.95
  • Illuminating Paraffin: R12.10
  • LPG: R34.74 per kg
