SEBOKENG. – It seems the notorious Moshoeshoe Road in Sebokeng will never cease to draw blood from motorists and passengers who travel on it daily.
A horrendous accident between two local taxis took place on Moshoeshoe Road on Sunday morning. The accident, which left seven people injured, happened near the closed Sasol garage near ‘S’gureng’ between Zones 10, 11, and 13.
According to bystanders on the scene, both taxis were traveling from the Post Office side heading towards the Zone 10 cross-road traffic lights when a loud bang was heard.
A taxi had hit another from behind.
An injured passenger on the scene said, “I do not know what happened all I heard was a loud bang after that I realised that we were in an accident and I was injured.”
Police spokesperson, Sergeant Nthabiseng Mokhachane said that the police are investigating a case of reckless and negligent driving, while the injured were taken to the Sebokeng Hospital.
The Moshoeshoe Road is infamously known for its accidents which happen almost daily.
