A ‘Giving out to the Community Campaign’ in Vaal Marina

About 40 tons (40000kg) of potatoes were delivered to the Vaal Marina Community Church from where they were distributed to the community.

SEDIBENG. – Vaal Marina SAPS in collaboration with various stakeholders conducted a ‘Giving out to the Community Campaign’ at Vaal Marina recently.

The stakeholders who were in collaboration were local farmers, Vaal Marina Church Members, Working on Fire and Expanded Public Workers Programme (EPWP). Vaal Marina Station Commander JB Greyling said, “All thanks to Mr Portgieter from Witklefontein, one of Vaal Marina Farmers who saw a need to give the community a bag full of fresh potatoes each.”

“The Vaal Marina community received the Give-Out well, reaching out to the elderly and needed, they were really overwhelmed. The Giving Out Campaign reached different welfare and church organisations in the area of Vaal Marina such as Vaal Marina urban area, Mamello, Kudung and also cross borders with Refengkgotso and Deneysville,” stated police spokesperson, Constable De Huis who added that about 200 people were reached.
